We hit over 6,000,000 views on our TikTok video this month.
In 6 weeks, we gained over 8,000 new followers.
This is the power of short-form video.
There has never been anything quite like it.
For most of this audience, you are probably sitting there thinking, my audience isn't there; it's just a bunch of kids.
But I want you to sit back and question that for a bit.
37% of all users are over the age of 30 and 21% are over 40 years old.
This number is going to increase continually. It is still super early for TikTok.
But, it's not just about TikTok.
Short-form video in portrait, 9:16 ratio is dominating every platform.
YouTube, Facebook, & Instagram are all pushing their own version of these videos and from what we have found with our clients, the same style video also performs super well on LinkedIn.
Now I know not everyone feels they are good on video. But there are plenty of ways to make these videos where you don't have to be front and centre.
You just need a decent strategy.
To create a strategy though, you need to start consuming on the platforms to know what people are watching.
So, here is your homework.
- Download either TikTok or YouTube on your phone.
- Search three topics you are an expert in.
- Consumer 200 videos on each topic and take notes.
- Define a style you want to emulate.
- Start mapping out 'Hooks' (The first 3 seconds of the video)
- Start recording
- Start posting.

It was awesome to have musician Hahko/Isaac McFarlane as our inaugural Guide guest! We are off to a good start!
